Physique » Like most auri males, Khasar is no different about being toweringly tall, wide-shouldered, slim-waisted, long-limbed, and built to fight great beasts. He, however, is not one of the tallest males of his kin. He falls just a little shorter than the average height by a few ilms -- but his height is still nonetheless impressive in the eyes of the smaller races. Swimmer's physique makes him strong, giving his arms what could be considered to possess 'nice man-waves', abdominal and back muscles to be envious about, and strong thighs and legs that can pack a kick that could knock out a dzo and outswim sharks. As a Xaela, his forward curling horns and scaly patches are so dark blue they're practically black, to him a sign that he has the proof of Nhaama's blood coursing through his veins. And as if to compliment the color of his scales, Khasar was born with a strongly pigmented dark teal skin tone like the sky at dusk, which has a rubber-like quality thanks to his Ejinn upbringing and ancestry. Due to his semi-aquatic lifestyle which the Ejinn have led for Ages, his body regulates his temperature very well against the rigid low temperatures of the waters. Because of this, his skin feels always extremely warm to the touch as Khasar radiates heat like a furnace on feet; making him a very popular person to share a bed with during cold nights. Or stick cold fingers up his shirt to get a little squeal out of him. As a downside, he overheats and dehydrates easily, especially in warmer climates. And, speaking of feet; his are rather big, even for his height. And between the toes, there is just a little bit more skin than normal, like the beginning of the webbing of a flipper. Good for swimming, and barely noticeable until further inspection. His hair is inky black and cropped short for easier maintaining and swimming, holding a natural wave to it which makes it curl. Then in stark contrast to everything dark and blue in him, the young man sports a pair of fuchsia purple eyes with limbal rings to match, which truly stand out from his dark sclera and compliment his look. They tend to sparkle like amethysts at the bottom of the ocean in his face as he laughs.Other notable details would be that his tail is a spindly thing, with a inky fur ridge growing along it from the base of the tail where it connects to his spine down to the tip before it turns into bony and spiky. The fur is the same color as his hair and stops growing soon after where the scaly tail connects to his rubbery skin. It droops down the tail like black hanging moss or river weeds, enhancing the image of a River Spirit that he and his people are often referred to as. And if you happen to get a look inside Khasar's mouth, you would notice that instead of pinkish-red, his tongue and mucous membranes are the very faint color of pale, pastel pink which shifts to purple in places where the blood is closer to the surface. Khasar's teeth are well-tended, white and straight, perfect for that toothy smile he brandishes so easily. His fingernails are also always well-trimmed, kept short and usually with rounded tips. Sometimes with nail polish.Khasar is exotic looking, intriguing, handsome piece of work -- and he knows it. He's more than comfortable with basking in the limelight and wears himself like there's no other light for him to bask in. And with his slanted, striking eyes, the high bridged nose that could fit a Khagan, his angular jawline, and full lips... it's honestly hard to try to convince him otherwise. After all, having him deny it would be denying the blessings of Nhaama, right? He's got the looks, he's got the body, and he seems to be fully aware that people enjoy looking at him. He doesn't appear bothered by it, but rather is relaxed and even invites you with a gaze to come and touch. He wears his teal skin with confidence that is both admirable and infuriating. Just by looking at his smug face, you immediately know you want to either kiss it or punch it. Sometimes both. And not necessarily in that order.

Scars » Luckily enough for Khasar who is very fond of his face, it doesn't sport many hugely noticeable cosmetic problems. But the young man's body has amassed a few over the years through accidents, some through spars and work, some... from other things.

  • A small upwards notch on the right side of his upper lip. It makes him look like he's always wearing a bit of a cocky smirk on his face. It has healed well but definitely has been deep and wide enough to scar over. Surprisingly, he doesn't seem to mind it and even sports it with some pride. Sometimes, he touches it thoughtfully and tends to smile subtly. Where ever he has gotten it, it must be a good memory.

  • A couple of old cuts on his knees, likely from childhood. They do not appear very outstanding in any way, and have faded a lot over the years.

  • Both sides of his left hand. One runs over the back of his fingers, and the other just over the heel of his palm. Like it was stuck between something with sharp edges once. It is noticeable with how deep the cuts were, especially on the back of the fingers where the skin tone is a lighter blue.

  • A small cut along his little finger's top joint down to the base of the finger, but is so thin and the exact color of his skin, it is barely noticeable. It seems older than the larger cuts on his hand, as it is on the same hand with them, making the comparison easy. Apparently, this left hand has seen some shit.

  • A scar running around his right forearm. Something sharp has cut it along the bone to the elbow. A few skin tears along his wrist as well that have healed well. The coloring of the scars is very close to his skin tone, a good sign that either they are older scars or the cuts were rather shallow.

  • Five little tear-shaped scars on his chest, surrounding his heart. Four on top coming down towards it, one further away, a little vertical, falling away from it. Hard to notice perhaps at first, because the wounds seemed rather shallow and healed pretty well. They are very close to his natural teal skin tone, often noticeable only in certain light or if one knows what they are looking for with touch.

  • A few on his right arm. Similar shape to the ones on his chest, just longer. Like claw marks. The scar tissue is very light blue, indicating they aren't that old.

  • Same on the left of his side, just under the ribs. Fresh ones, like something or someone, has clawed at it. Perhaps a wild animal, as the Ejinn does enjoy hunting. A hunt which went sideways, most likely. The same color as the ones on his arm, indicating they have been gotten around the same time.

  • A bite mark between his neck and shoulder, on the right side. By the looks of it, something has really sunk its teeth into his flesh, and that something had really sharp and messy teeth. Much like fangs, pointing towards a carnivore. But the rest of the teeth were duller deduced by the shapes of the individual scars, meant for grinding like a herbivore. Like his arm and side, the color of the scarring is similar, indicating this was also gained during that hunting trip likely gone very wrong.

Style » The young Ejinn is confident enough in his own masculinity to wear whatever pleases him; be it something that accentuates it and brings it forth more, or something that makes him appear a bit softer and even slightly feminine. Khasar enjoys fine jewelry and luxurious fabrics, often opting to soft and shiny silks, precious metals and gems. His wardrobe choices can be a bit extravagant, and some of them by all sense shouldn't look good on anyone, but... He's good at pulling off outfits and aesthetics which others may struggle with feeling comfortable or looking good in. If he wasn't already standing out due to his born looks alone, Khasar enhances it all with his sense of style which he wears with a flair that only he seems to possess.

Voice » Because Khasar is still a young bloke, his voice hasn't quite matured to the deep bass it might one day reach. However, it does already have the qualities for it, as it is rich and youthful, typical to males in their twenties. His laugh his hearty; always genuine, and very contagious. His speaking voice is often laced with a hint of boyish mischief and lilt of optimism -- or opportunism. Just talking to him paints quickly the image of a free-spirited, very self-confident man who doesn't worry about the small details too much. (Or sometimes not enough.) He also has a rather distinctive accent still making his speech more colorful, even if he has a very good understanding of the Common Tongue's grammar and pronunciation. It is also present when he speaks other languages that aren't his native. While he speaks the language he is native to, he speaks it with a dialect more typical to his tribe which sounds more mellow, but which flows quickly with rhythmical words.

Piercings » So far only his navel is pierced which he wears a simple jewelry in, often in gold. Is showing interest in body modification culture overall and is considering more body jewelry.

Accessories » Khasar is a huge on accessorizing his outfits, no matter where he is going or even just staying home. The most common thing to see him wear, and frankly at this point is his trademark, is ever changing strings of hair beads. Beyond that, wrist bangles and ankle jewelry, necklaces, scarves, belts, and everything you can really think of he is likely to use add to his extravagant outfits. While he doesn't have ears to pierce and wear ear jewelry, that doesn't stop him as he tends to wear various different decorations on his horns from sheaths to whatever he can wrap around them to make them look nice.

Pockets »

  • Tends to carry his fine blue silk coin purse tied to his belt and tugged away into a waist sash to hide it from sticky fingered individuals.

  • Tied along and visible is his Khet Khutga; a beautiful set of a decorated knife, sharpener, chuckmuck (flint) and savkh (chopsticks). The knife handle is made out of Baras bone, freshwater pearls and green sea glass. The blade is the finest steelwork of the Ura tribe. The savkh are also made out of Baras bone, and they are decorated with silver.

  • A wooden glasses case which contains a pair of beautifully crafted brass rimmed reading glasses.

  • Personal linkshell and linkpearl.

  • Simple steel house keys, with a white conch as a keyring.

Weaponry » Along with his usual knife, he carries a simple leather-and-rope shepherd sling. With that, he tends to carry a small pouch of smooth river stones to use as projectiles. Simple, but effective.

Scent » Lavender, cedar, coconut, aloe, ocean brine. Some of these are due to perfumes or bug repellents being used, or body creams for moisturization. Or self-made natural hair care products. Nhaama forbid this man would ever stop grooming himself.

Hooks

Here are a few simple hooks you can use, or we can chat about them to see how we could make them work. There are both positives, negatives, and neutrals here, and most of them aren't anything special due to the down-to-earth style of writing I tend to do. If anything here strikes your fancy, let's try it out!

Kin » Always eager to meet those who immigrated to the West from the vast grasslands of the Steppe, Khasar looks out for black scales in the crowds for camaraderie. He does, however, pose some prejudices to certain tribes; either out of fear or respect, or both, and he may be wary at least upon first meeting. His curiosity about other tribes beyond the Ejinn is endlessly unsated, and he always wants to learn more about different people and their ways. So if you are one of the proud nomads of the Steppe, he'll be automatically more drawn to you. Speaking to you will alleviate his homesickness, and bring forth bouts of nostalgia.

Manners » Respect and pride play a big part in Xaela culture; being proud of your origins and what you and your tribe represent, and respect for one another through cultural customs, age, and title. There is also even respect towards your enemies in battle, and war. Hells, even the national sport, Bökh, is all about respect and good sportsmanship! So if you are a Xaela who has their proper manners down, Khasar will definitely respect you, and take notice of it. If not? Well, you can be fairly sure he likely will try to avoid you, but remain civil from his side. While he doesn't expect such practices in similar depth from non-Xaela, those who show him respect as an individual will be noticed, and rewarded.

Westernized » And in that same breath, those fresher off the Steppe or more traditional in spirit despite their Western location may take note of the Ejinn man's chosen apparel, some mannerism, his knack for the language despite the accent that doesn't seem to wear off completely, even after five turns of seasons. He seems to have given up on wearing tribe colors, and most traditional clothing -- and in favor he seems to take the fashion of the West from time to time. This could be a reason for potential ire, a feeling of betrayal of his own people, as Khasar appears to be assimilating to the culture around him like a chameleon changing the colors of its scales. He, however, doesn't appear to see it that way, and seems to be quite comfortable with himself. This could be a source for discussion or debate.

Pacifist » Or just a coward? The young man seems quick on his feet and swift of wit, but looks like he tries to worm himself off any potential physical altercations he is presented. Quite unusual for a Xaela, given how much most of his countrymen like to butt heads and rack horns. But he seems to enjoy watching others throw down, for sport. Whatever his reasons, they tend to go against the grain for the more warring types who would like to test his brawn over brain. Surely there is something he'd willing to do it over? Maybe if you find something specific to piss him off? He seems so mellow though, it hardly seems possible to ruffle his scales the wrong way.

Books » You have... books? You know math? Do you have math books? Encyclopedias? History or culture books? Medical books? Any books? Please, please, please let Khasar read them! He'll borrow them and return them to you unscathed after a few suns! If you happen to know any good bookshops, he'd love to hear about them, and even visit them with you!

Ocean hobby » More than just a swimmer, Khasar takes diving commissions for underwater missions. You need something dived from the depths of the lake or the ocean? An underwater cave or shipwreck investigated? This Ejinn is your guy if the spot is reachable within his means. Or perhaps you just are looking to buy pearls? He's got plenty. Haggle with him, for that is what he is used to while peddling in the streets of Ul'dah way back, and it is also a big part of his own trading culture. Otherwise, he might just rip you off if you take the first offered price. If you need pearls more regularly, don't hesitate to make a supplier contract with the guy. He'll gladly take you up for it if your prices are fair and you buy often enough or in bulk.

Racism » Yes, he is blue. But do you need to point it out for him? No. He's aware, he's been aware, and you are not doing him or you any favors by drawing immediate attention to it. Not only is that extremely rude, but also racist, and frankly quite the bit stupid. And yet, about nine out of ten people do that to him, sometimes multiple times a day. If you want the quickest way to his bad side, this is it. He is quite tired of it, but also has started to think his natural colors are a negative outside the Steppe. He has grown quite self-conscious of the color of his skin and tends to get uncomfortable if it's brought up the first thing. Some people seem to even fetishize him for it, which is weird as fuck. And then there is of course the Xaela stereotypes and tribalism he often gets treated with due to his black scales, and that's a whole another can of worms...

Surrogacy » Potentially, Khasar has been keeping an eye out on women who seem healthy and are in good childbearing age. Preferably of his own race, but not entirely limited to. He could have a proposal, once he has sussed your ladyness out. This proposal would include full-time personal care from the start of pregnancy to the end of it, and some time until the recovery of it. And naturally, a good pay at the start and end of it, which can be negotiated. While he would prefer the result of this deal to be then cut off from the biological mother, a future relationship both with the child and parents can be also negotiated, if the mother would rather choose to remain as some sort of figure in the child's life.Note: This plot is for realistic, lore-abiding roleplayers only. I am looking for someone who is willing to throw themselves in a long-term plot, and are fine taking things slow, while writing a realistic pregnancy of full nine moons, and are fine with the idea of their character giving up a child for two male parents. No, this plot isn't a romance plot that would turn into a triad, or at least there would be no original intention of it from the authors, although who knows; anything can happen. Just to be clear on that from the start, and that is highly unlikely due to multiple reasons I will not disclose here. Any attempts to ICly take things into that direction might have dire negative consequences, just so you are aware. How your character would conceive, will be as artificial as possible within the means of the world our characters live in. So no steamy scenes, but rather something weird and awkward at best, that might be fun to write! The child would be NPC'd at first by me and my writing partner, but after infancy, we have a writer lined up to upgrade the child from NPC to PC. If you have a female character that might be up for the job to give a small blessing in the life of two same-sex parents while being doted and protectively taken care of the whole time, give me a holler!

Travel & Land » Do you need a travel guide or protection on the road? Or perhaps something harvested or hunted? Khasar knows a guy. And if you promise lucrative travel work, he'll gladly introduce you to this elusive creature of a Bairon. For some work, Khasar may also come with to accompany the older Xaela and help you communicate more smoothly.

Hello, thank you for reading my Carrd for Khasar! It is definitely not the attention he needed being as cheeky as he already is. Here's a final word from me regarding things I'd like you to know, in case I managed to pique your interest to write with me.

» I am the king of slowburn anything; friendships, and romances. I like complex relationships and natural slow developments. Sometimes I can easily cook certain relationships for a year or more.

» I like writing low-power characters. People who have regular NPC folk aptitudes, day jobs, real-life problems, all the while trying to find ways to deal with them in the midst of a world of magic and monsters, and make solutions without their magical means. I do not enjoy easy, lazy solutions that are explained away every time with magic.

» I'm a sucker for lore, so I'm a lore-abiding writer. While I respect everyone's choice to lore-bend and break, I would appreciate it if you will choose to respect my choice not to. This means I will likely have Khasar either not see or hear certain things, not believe bold claims, or question what the seven hells someone put in his drink.

» I'm fine with walk-ups, and being sent tells to premediate roleplay or otherwise discuss stuff OOC regarding roleplay. But please, if you are going to walk up, make sure I have the RP tag on in-game! I will not respond to RP posts IC if my tag isn't up. Don't hesitate to poke me with a tell, though. Sometimes I might be tabbed out and miss a post, especially if we're in a busy hub.

» But for the love of everything which is holy, if I don't know you and you want to do an aggressive walk-up that leads to a potential fight, I'd prefer if you send me a tell first and ask about it, so I can check we're on the same page power-level and lore-wise. If you read further on this page below, you'll understand why. I am saying this early on because I get a lot of aggressive non-lore-abiding and anime-power-level provoking attempts IC which are often entirely unprovoked on mine or my character's part, and I'm not exactly happy about that. It's getting old, fast.

» That being said, I will not write a fight with lore breaking or bending characters, or those that are overpowered, especially with unique and unusual abilities or skills to the lore. These sorts of unrealistic, overpowered anime physics characters who are perfect and flawless, and yet speak cryptically like Kabuki villains in an attempt to be edgy, simply do not interest me. At all. If this is the kind of stuff you like, all the kudos and power to you. May you find your crowd to write with, it just will not have me in it. I'm looking for characters that are relatable, and read like real people.

» And that being said, if I smell any sort of OP in a character or feel like the writer wants to write fight scenes with me just to use Khasar for their personal power trip fantasy to jerk themselves off to, I say no thank you. We aren't here to be used as your cannon fodder to feel better about yourself through your self-insert character.

» I do rolls in fight scenes. I like chance. I love chance and having to adapt on the fly. I don't mind failing, and I enjoy writing some wacky ways to fail attacks because my roll was atrocious. I freeform only with writers I've known for years and trust. So no, I won't freeform with you for a spar I agree to prior otherwise if I don't know you, and you demand that. We do rolls, or it just won't happen, and I will walk away. Sorry.

» Khasar's views on gender norms, sexuality, and mental health is very outdated to us today, and is more based on that of someone living in Mongolia during 600's AD. He may say some ignorant things and may struggle to understand such concepts as genderfluidity or transgenderism due to the toxic masculinity and traditional gender roles of the Azim Steppe he was brought up with, despite his own genderfluidity he doesn't really have terms for. He may, however, try to compare some things to that which he knows from back home... which is often close, but nowhere near, to what we know modernly of these topics. His views are not in correspondence with my own.

» I will not write with a fetish character of any kind. This includes but is not limited to; futanari. I will also not write with any fetish character sympathizers, or those actively seeking ERP with fetish characters. No, I don't care about your opinions or arguments about it. Really.

» I will not write with underaged characters or authors. This is due to some of the themes I take interest in. I'm sorry.

» I prefer in-game RP. I suck at keeping up with Discord RP replies, I'm sorry about this, too.

» My Discord is available upon request. But please respect any boundaries I express having. I have no hesitation to blacklist or blocking people who start acting weird with me or do not respect a 'no', which is, by the way, a full sentence.

» This should go without saying, but bleeding IC and OOC is a dealbreaker for me. Keep them separate, please. I refuse to write with self-insert characters or people who will assume my character is me and his actions and opinions are mine. They are not. I am too old and tired for OOC drama which can be entirely avoided. Thank you for understanding.

» Other than these themes, preferences, and personal boundaries, I am fairly open-minded, and I do not shy away from erotic themes if they naturally happen IC if the character chemistry and mood is right. But it's never my goal, as I actually tend to prefer more platonic relationships and dynamics.
